Abstract

To explore the clinical effect of confocal laser endoscopy in the diagnosis of metaplasia of gastric mucosa and
intestinal epithelium and analyze the advantages of the method. From December 2018 to December 2019, 60
patients with intestinal metaplasia of gastric mucosa in our hospital were selected as the research objects.
According to the order of treatment, they were divided into observation group and control group with 30 cases
in each group. The control group was examined by common endoscopy; the observation group was examined by
confocal microscopy. The sensitivity and specificity of the two methods in the diagnosis of gastric mucosal
intestinal metaplasia were compared. The coincidence rate of the detected cases and clinical grading diagnosis in
the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant
(P<0.05). The sensitivity and specificity of grading diagnosis in the observation group were higher than those in
the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), which could be used to evaluate the effect
of grading diagnosis. The sensitivity and specificity of confocal endoscopy in the grading diagnosis of gastric
mucosa and intestinal metaplasia are both high, so as to realize the diagnosis of gastric mucosa and intestinal
metaplasia at the cellular and molecular level.
