A Micro-Modified Leukocyte Adherence Inhibition Assay for Pancreatic Cancer

  • Orué Julmery, Cermeño Sangronis, López Lairet

A modified leukocyte adherence inhibition assay was performed among the patients treated for pancreatic cancer. The results obtained thus far suggest that the micro-LA1 assay has immunodiagnostic potential in early pancreatic cancer, and may become a useful tool to aid in separating those few patients with pancreatic cancer from the large group of patients with nonspecific abdominal complaints permitting early referral of patients to centers where definite therapeutic intervention would be possible.
